im curous as to your favey missile carrier
The light SRM carrier with 5 SRM 6s
The LRM carrirer with 3 LRM 20s
The SRM carrier with 10 SRM 6s
And The Heavy LRM Carrier with 4 LRM 20s

SRM carrier. and the 3055 or 3058 version with 9 SRM-6's and narc beacon. I have taken down assault mechs with them.

The SRM carrier. I prefer the older ones. I'm not overly fond of NARC, so I prefer the greater firepower.

Heavy LRM.
Get a lance of them and start the wall of missiles indirect fire method.
Gets you about a kill a round against lights and mediums.

LRM carrier. Long range keeps it safe(r) and you can do indirect fire.

SRM carrier, nothing works better in an ambush.
Its seriously easy to take down anything with them, they work wonders against clan tech.

Light SRM carrier; a bit more speed than the regular one, and still good firepower.

Personnally i prefer the Srm to the others.....but in a group of Srms i usually have a few lrms to ballance it out and to provide long range support

I cannot vote for a single choice.
I used them together,with SRMcarr in defensive role,while LRMcarr is harassing.
I think anyway if using them in a defensive role I'll opt for a hvylrm.
In other case i could choose a light SRM,
x better mobility and a turret.
Also a good ammunition assortment it would push to me to use the more adapted model
