Something just sprung into my mind as my map set arrived today, i bought it off e-bay. They were dated 1989 and were still shrink-wrapped and in perfect condition. Was a shame to open them, i did anyway but it got me thinking.
How many of you guys collect mechs and sheets for the fun of collecting them and have no wish to play them. Just to put them away or display them.

Personally i buy them to play, thats why i don't buy the unopened mechs and vehicles. Let the collectors have them.

So which catagory are you?

I have never bought any of the miniatures, but I do have a huge stack of the other books and maps. For me I have always bought them for playing. It has never entered my mind to try to collect this stuff. Any of my duplicate books are so that when I play with other people they can borrow them.

Player. I really don't own that many models anyway, only the few I've bought as personal rides for MechWarrior RPG characters. Me and the mates have enough imagination to handle battles with cardboard cutouts.

If you win, you can build a building for just BT. You could fly us in to play whenever you wanted....

I would have a 40x60 polebarn with climate control. I would fill it with a model railroad and also use it for playing Btech. N-scale would work great for scale with Btech minis.

I have used N-scale with minis and the heights are about right. The engines are about half the height of a mini and the engines are about 4 meters tall. Also N-scale is soo much cheaper than Z-scale.
