Overview:
The GMR-3F Grill Master was an ill-fated Battlemech prototype developed by the Ceres Metals conglomerate.
Originally conceived as an upgrade for the lighter Vindicator, the Grill Master project was fraught with disasters. The weapons systems were particularly problematic. The loss of significant engineering knowledge left Capellan designers without the necessary specifications for integrating various weapons systems into a new configuration. The flamer system was particularly problematic. The Weber corporation was hired by Ceres to design and install flamers into the new design. The Weber design was a cheap knock-off of the popular Zippo flamers. During the tests the Weber lighters exploded repeatedly, killing one pilot and seriously burning another, as well as destroying a multi-million C-bill factory. The design was already over-budget, so instead of replacing the Weber flamers Ceres ordered the Weber corporation to redesign the flamers with additional safety features. The redesign was not a complete success. The flamer continued to spill fuel onto the 'mech occasionally, but the flame extinguishers were upgraded in order to compensate. Unfortunately, although the 'mech protected by flame retardant foam, the spilled fuel generally ignites everything within a thirty yard radius of the 'mech. This has led to several battle casualties, with infantry or vehicles near a Grill Master were ignited when the flamer system malfuctioned.

Despite the flaws of the Weber flamer, the Grillmaster has received cautious signs of approval from the pilots it has been assigned too (Mostly vindicator pilots assigned a new mech).
The first production run has been distributed evenly to the Warrior Houses and various Capellan reserves.

The flawed flamers have had one unexpected advantage. Rebellious cities tend to seek terms immediately once the CAF threatens to send in the Grill Masters. The chance of catastrophic fire is simply too great to risk.

Capabilities
The Grillmaster packs enough long-range firepower to worry a rifleman with its combination of a PPC and a AC/5. This also happens to match the weapons that a standard Banshee can bring into play.
Up close, the Grillmaster can switch over to its Quad SRM array, allowing to fire a volley of 8 missiles to seek out the weak points in a Mech or Vehicles armour.
Twin flamers (problematic as they are) give the Grillmaster a measure of infantry protection and allows the Grillmaster to set fires.

One side has a Grillmaster with support, their objective being scaring a rebellious city into surrender. The other side has to destroy the Grillmaster before it can cause too much terror with the flamers.

I was thinking some sort of seek and destroy mission. This would be a fun mech in the dense woods area on Solaris. FIRE!! FIRE!!

I see it in several peacekeeping roles. Stick one in a garison on a planet that is showing signs of disloyalty. That way you get a good defender and a mech that can breakup potential riots.

Oh, oh.....you need to have the test pilot be very hot-tempered too!!! that way when he blows his/her top the flamers go up in flames too. Could be a kharma induced blaze kinda thing.
