Well. At first I though that the person had inadvertantly misnamed the starslayer but it looks nothing like any of the starslayer variants that I have references for. It is a Ral Partha model but they also don't list a starburner. I can't find anything called a starburner in my references or online anywhere. It is a fairly small mech model. So I still think it is possibly as you say a variant of the starslayer. Hope someone can shed light as it is a lovely model and I would like to use it. _________________ "Thats the fastest race ever ran. But not as fast as the world record".

Might it be one of those psuedo-mechs? Not sure of the name but the half-mechs from the Dark Age era. _________________ If ignorance is bliss, then why are you so miserable?

If you can give us the RP number...or maybe mention where you got it...either might be helpful.

Or post a photo of it? _________________ "My job is to keep the majority of people in this country alive. That's it. If fifty-one percent eat a meal tomorrow and forty-nine percent don't, I've done my job." - The Beast (AKA The President), Transmetropolitan

I dont't have a RP number as I purchased it prepainted from ebay by a guy called Paintmanjay44. A bloke from Canada who paints wickedly. I am waiting for an answer to an email I sent him but nothing as yet. Not wanting to sound stupid but it was suggested I post a pic. I would if I knew how to but I can't see anywhere on here to add an attachment _________________ "Thats the fastest race ever ran. But not as fast as the world record".

Is it a miss-match? Sometimes people take parts from different mechs and stick them together, with a bit of skillful crafting they look good. I've seen a cros between a Daishi's arms, Awesome's chassis and somwhow they managed to take the missile pods of a MadCat. Looked quite nifty, if a bit out of shape.
Why people wpould want to wreck perfecly good mechs is beyond me though.

I got an email last night from Jay. Apparently it is a mech from a company called Iron Winds. He used it as a 30 ton mech equipped with TAG full armour a fast engine. He didn't mention what the weaponry was though. Only being new to the hobby after a break of 20 years or so and living in the UK this company is not familiar to me. Jay says that these models are compatible but not official to the game. I suppose he used it to confuse experienced players as to what they were facing. Does anyone else use this tactic? And is it allowed? _________________ "Thats the fastest race ever ran. But not as fast as the world record".

I think it would be classed as a custom mech, so it would have to be a level three rules. So that makes it unusable for most tournament games.

I only play for fun to be honest so that wouldn't be a problem. Only thing is I like playing with original mechs so will probably put this one up for sale _________________ "Thats the fastest race ever ran. But not as fast as the world record".

ooh, I'd like it, but i'm from the UK, things like this rarely turn up on the uk Ebay.
I design alot of custom mechs so i could just use it to represent one of those.
Very good paintwork though, wish i was that good.
