Here's one for you.
VND-1R Vindicator and HBK-4G Hunchback vs PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk plus HCT-3F Hatchetman.
This is an interesting match up in that one team has a definite long range and short range fighter while the other team is a middle range and close range duo.

| In an even skill match, I'd never bet against the Hunchback's side... unless the pilot was drunk, or my younger brother.

Ouch. either way this is a grudge match. Only because I am more familiar with them I am going to vote for the P-hawk hatchet combo. If they can close they will inflict some serious damage.

I picked those two specifically because they don't have to close. They can stay a little out of the AC/20's range but not too far from it. Also the Vindicator has longer range than the other two so they have to come under fire to fire. All-in-all, I think it's a nice match up to be played.

Pound on the Hunchback from range and gang up on the Vindicator.
P-hawk and Hatchetman will win the day.

The Vindicator is surprisingly nasty against medium mechs. The Hunchback with the AC/20... 
No way the Hatchetman can get into close combat. It'll go down first, and then the Phoenix Hawk will have to run around the board to avoid being smashed between the two enemy mechs.

Excellent match up! I honor your choices. It is hard to chose between these two, but I will go with the P-Hawk and the Hatchetman. Firstly, this combo has two ranged weapons against one PPC. Add this to the Hunchback's speed and limited ammo and you have a winning combo. Lastly, I have a particular like for the P-Hawkl and Hatchetman.

The Vindie is one of my favourite 'mechs from TRO:3025. That alone accounts for my answer. And, oh yes, I dislike both the P-Hawk and the Hatchetman....
Keep in mind that the Vindie has a PPC - which can head-chop both of its opponents!!
The Hunchback is really scary - but twice I used it against a P-Hawk, and twice it ended up in my back, punched through the pityful rear armour, and critted the AC!!!!!!! So, if it was just P-Hawk vs Hunchback.....
But as it is, the Hawk and Hatchetman shouldn't really stand a chance.
