Well, it's official. Calgary truely does suck. Tampa has done the unimaginable and won the Holiest of Sporting trophies, THE STANLEY CUP!
I for one was not shocked at the outcome. The Flames were really lucky to make it as far as they did, but they were only a mid-rate team who shot up in the playoffs farther than anyone could have expected or hoped. They did well this year, (as they finished at the bottom of the west last year), but, they couldn't match the Lightning. (They really needed more than two goal scorers).
Now, I have to admit that the seventh game was one of the worst and most boring games I have ever witnessed, and that I am now three hours closer to death for having watched it. Who would have thought that two fast skating teams would have done nothing more than just dump the puck and hope for bounces...

Unknown I do know that they messed up one of the most sacred traditions of the Detroit Red Wings namely the tossing of octopii onto the ice after a goal was scored in a playoff game.Those goofy rednecks had to go and throw literally thousands of rubber rats on the ice at their play off games so the league cracked down and said that if fans threw stuff on the ice that the home team would get a bench minor ...thus ruining a decades old tradition for the wings ...and in the process having a negative effect on the ecology of the Detroit river.

Shoulda saved the rats for just after the game ended, then toss em on the ice.
What are the refs gonna do? Bench someone after the game (and by extent, the season) is over?

The rats incedent was the Florida team not the Tampa team. They were called the "Rat Pack" by fans.

Calgary doesn't suck, heck they are the second best team in hockey until next year. You want three teams that suck? I give you: Pittsburgh Peguins, Washinton Capitals, and Colombus BlueJackets. Those three fought tooth and nail to remain the worst in the league since the all-star break.
And alas it is the Capitals whom I am a fan of.

To think that the state of Florida has just won both the Stanley Cup and the World Series just makes me want to puke! 
Heck, it might be time to move out of Massachusetts. The sport I like the least out of the 4 majors is the only one that we can win the championship!

If you want it rough, try living in an area that only has 1 sport. Used to live just south of Portland so only had the JailBlazers to root for.
