When the experimental Mobile Suit prototype GP-01, codenamed "Physallis" and its nuclear payload are hijacked by the One Year War's "Nightmare of Solomon" the Earth Federation sends the only team capeable of recovering it. Using the highly sophisticated Gundam GP-01 the crew of "White Base" persue the GP-02 across the planet, then into space where a much larger and more synaster plot, by the Zeon Duchy to re-start the unfinished war with the Earth Federation, is unveiled. Lt. Uraksai must overcome his weaknesses and hunt down the Nightmare of Solomon.
The story is the last chapter of the original Gundam series, concluding the 4 years the original series put in motion. If you have not seen the original series, or the movie of it, this one might make little sense. The charecters are all pretty believeable, altough some of them are a little too annoying for comfort.
The animation is superb, some of the best in all of Gundam's history. Only Endless Waltz and 8th MS Team are comparable. My version has lame Subs, but they are understandable...some times.
Be prepared for a long watch though. This isnt really a movie, but a 13 part OVA. At just under 30 minutes each there is a LOT to watch here.
Currently it is available on VHS and DVD, but the DVD may be hard to find.
Other Suggested Viewings: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie, 8th MS Team, 0080: The War in The Pocket

Can not wait to see it. Do you know if they are going to play it at A-Kon?

All I can say is that I'm still mad at Cartoon Network for refusing to show the series at a more decent hour (11:30 pm Central. I have church 9:00 am Sunday Morning.)

2 suggestions... 1)Tape it ; 2)Take a nap Saturday afternoon.
Note that they are not mutually exclusive--you could do both

1. There is only one functional VCR in the house, and it is in the living room. I turn up the noise too much, and I wake people up since there are no doors or anyhting I can close to shut out sound.
2. HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH! Like I usually have a chance to.
