Right, i've got a game coming up. I need a good Inner Sphere Urban lance with a total weight of up to 250 tons. Nothing later than the 3050 era and no custom mechs, anyone got any suggestions, Im contemplating the Annihilator for its munchy value (and the fact that most of the other players wouldn't expect something on the field so big)
I once had 170 tons to play with in light woods and open plains. I brought out an Atlas AS7-K and 2 Stinger STG-6L's with a Commando COM-5S. A very wierd strike force, but i absolutely kicked butt!
See most people spent to much time laughing at my choices, tried to gang up on my atlas (they used a team of Meds & heavies). Then cried as my light strikers whipped behind them and struck criticals everywhere! Sometimes the Atlas fell but the Damage had already been done by the lights, I loved watching peoples faces when they add up the to-hit modifiers on my lights! Ambush tactics are the most fun!
I devastated one opponent because he turned around his prize mech (MAD-5N) to attack my lights (which were well away by then), then got a Gauss rifle in the rear centre, I got two engine critical hits!
Overall i came second out of 8 in that little tournament, i lost in the final when the Atlas was taken down by a lucky head shot from a Hollander BZK-F3. Although my lights did well, destroying 3 of the 4 using hit and runs, his Vindicator VND-3L won, destroying the last Stinger.
So anyone care to suggest some good light urbies? I doubt i will use an UrbanMech as i dislike the speed on such a light mech. In my view, a mech should either be fast and light, or slow and heavy.

250 tons, you say? That's a heavy lance.
Marauder II MAD-4A
Marauder MAD-5M
Trebuchet TBT-5S
Commando COM-5S
The idea is to go slow and kill anyone who gets in the way.
edit: changed the -5D to a -5M as ralgith suggested.

Nice lance, but I'd use a MAD-5M over a MAD-5D in a city fight any day.

If this is really a city fight.. How about a lance like this::
Charger - SB 4 LL 28 HS 3-5 80 ton
Victor - 9K Gauss 2MPL SRM4 80 ton
2 x PH Hawk - 3K 2 ELL 2 MPL 45 ton
or if you wanna go strictly 3025
Charger-SB
Victor- 9B
2 x PHawk-1D
Both good solid all around lances... Either make interesting city lances. Don't sell the Pheonix Hawks short..
