==Overview:==
The Savage Wolf is the designation given to a recently developed battlemech
design by the Wolf's Dragoon; this mech uses top of the line components and
seems to be a custom design for one of the dragoons, yet who it is for has yet
to be determined; furthermore, we are unsure about the true capabilities of
the design and are presenting our opinion along with confirmed fact; never the
less, what we do know about this design marks it as an interesting combination
of components.

==Capabilities:==
Whoever this machine is for is truly a competent warrior otherwise some of the
components would not have been added, we can only assume so at least. We say
this do to the highly experimental nature of the design. The engine, skeleton,
and myomers alone are worth many light mechs while the external armor uses
materials not everyone can get there hands on. We are assuming of course that
the engine is an XXL as it would be improbable that the design team could
achieve the speeds witnessed and still retain the remaining loads;
additionally, not only does it seems that the internal skeleton is comprised
of some composite materials as the bulk of the skeleton is way off in photo
analysis but also I have been informed by my analysis crew that reports on the
mechs movement indicate that the unit mounts Triple Strength Myomers instead
of the more standard myomers.

All this is but the icing on the cake so to speak. Analysis of the ballistic
data observed by our team during live fire tests on armor sections done by the
Dragoons indicates that the armor being used is of unknown type. While the
team watched, the dragoons fired a class 10 auto-cannon round at close range
into an armor section only thick enough to stop a class 5 round; now, not only
did this round not out right penetrate the armor plate but also it failed to
damage the plate enough to cause even a small breach. So with out a sample of
this armor we can only assume that it is of the same concept as the nick named
'hardened armor' armor type that several other of the major powers have been
developing. It seems though that the dragoons are not satisfied with this
protection alone as rumors have been heard that test are being performed on a
fabled 'blue shield' system, but we have been unable to confirm nor deny this
rumor; by the same token, we have been unable to confirm or deny another rumor
saying that the Savage Wolf is being equipped with a reconstructed Star League
Null-Signature System. As you know this system formed the back bone of the
Liao stealth armor and if it is being included into this design, it will cause
many problems to those who face it.

If these things alone were not enough, it seems the pilot of this mech is
quite sure of his skill as it seems the only weapon the unit is carrying is a
Davion built Rotary Style Class 5 Auto-Cannon. We have been unable to locate
any secondary weapons or witnessed any of them being tested. It would seem the
pilot feels quite safe having only the single system to take into battle. We
have estimated that the unit carries about four tons of ammunition. Supporting
that estimation are video recordings of the unit being loaded, once analyzed
we were able to estimate the load by calculating the time from the start of
the process to its end and multiplying that by the average number of rounds
loaded per minute. Once we had those it was a simple matter of figuring
average number of rounds per minute times the average weight per round. This
estimate allows use to say that even at full rate of fire the unit carries
enough rounds for over two minutes of firing before needing to be reloaded.

So as you can see this mech was designed for a single pilot to take into
battle; undoubtedly, a highly skilled pilot within the dragoon ranks, yet we
cannot say who since we do not have enough information; what we can say is
that this pilot must be an important person considering our best estimate
places this unit at just under 50 million C-Bills. This is not cheep even for
the dragoons.
