To make a long story short, (DON'T KILL ME!) I recently designed a clan mech with full stealth armor, 4 jump jets, a TAG, and 7 medium pulse lasers, all hooked into a TC. Munchy mechanics-wise? (I know it slaps the clan honor rules hard, fast, and repeatedly) _________________ I have the right to remain silent. Anything I say will undoubtedly incriminate me.

I dont remember Clan having Stealth armor. And it doesnt slap the honor rules...it takes them out back and beats them behind the barn...
What size is it? What MP does it have?

Kinda reminds me of the guy that killed John Wilkes Booth. The mech is a mixed level 3 tech 70 tonner with 4 walking, 6 running, 8 sprinting, and 4 JJ. I originally came of with an idea for a mech to "assassinate" battlefield commanders, support units, or C3 leaders, and the TAG idea kinda manifested itself. I didn't originally mean to make it munchy, but the idea was for a "surgical strike" mech to eliminate designated targets with precision. The mech is designed to work alone or in a pair, as either an assassin/ambush mech or a spotter mech, preferably a combination of both. One mech TAGs the targets, and the other tries to get on their back arc, then use the targeting computer and pulse weaponry to rip out some rear armor.

"Only Inner Sphere units may mount stealth armor" is a direct quote of the rBMR.

It's a clan chassis with inner sphere and clan tech. Thats not the point though, I'm talking about this UNIT in general, not concerning moral/ethic/affilaition issues. Besides, don't try to tell me the clans couldn't salvage an IS mech with stealth armor and reverse engineer it. Honorable clans couldn't do it, but what about Wolverine or Wolf-In-Exile?

Well, I'd never allow it in any game I hosted. While I have nothing against optimization, this design lacks imagination. Plus mixing tech is lame.

I know it's not exactly a suitable table-top mech. All the mechs I post, plus a crapload I didn't post, are going into a novel I'm making in the battletech universe. I tried to make kind of an dishonorable mech for an dishonored star colonel who does the dirty work for this company. I like to plan out the mechs in TDB first, although I only give a rough description of the mech in the novel.

Muchy, Oh yeah. dishonable? Nope, Nothing in the honor code says that you cannot use tech instaed of skill to defeat a enemy. Here is a 70 tonner I made way back on the old board. I still use this mech for my green pilots. Until they are good enough to survie without the tech boost. Kinda of like training wheels

You know...for less tonnage you could make a lighter mech, faster, and with a Gauss rifle which would allow you to "snipe" at the enemy commander. MPLs mean you have to get in and deal with them toe to toe, and a true assassin would never get into that kind of situation...i guess.

They of course don't exist in this game anymore, but I always thought an Anti-Tank rifle carried by a infantryman would just be a great sniper weapon and a way to kill enemy commanders.

HHMMMM, That would make a good ad.
Price of building a battlemech, 56,0000 C-Bills
Price of training a Mechwarrior, 23.000 C-Bills
Then have a picture of a smiling Groundpounder holding a Anti-tank rifle(Still smoking) and a falling mech in the background
Then
Price of stopping one with a 75 C-Bill weapon, Priceless

I think that somewhere there are still some infanrty-level weapons capable of hurting mechs.

Imagine the look on all the CEOs faces of all the mech factories across the Inner Sphere when that AD airs...
