I don't think "copyright" and "license" are interchangeable, as you and chihawk seem to be using them. I agree that if MegaMek uses Battletech trademarks and logos without legal permission its a copyright violation. I don't think that its a license violation.

I am not using them interchangably.
I told you where to go to get "first hand" information. If you don't wish to do that then there's nothing more to say.

Exactly. When I said MS could muscle in if they really wanted, I meant they could lean on Wizkids. Sorry for being less than clear.

My apologies for coming into this late, I've been rather busy. I'd like to interject one thing here. FASA Interactive was sold to MS before MechWarrior 3, including any and all licenses and rights therein. FASA never received a dime after after that. Their rights were sold away in the deal. MS owns all rights to computer games dealing with MechWarrior lock, stock and barrel.
