These very words by Paul Bremer at the press conference brought tears to my eyes. When they showed the video of Saddam getting his checkup, more tears and applause. This a great for the people of Iraq, they can now get to the business of rebuilding their country, without the dear that Saddam and his sons could regain power.
I hope that Iraqi justice swift and sure.

Hopefully it's not one of his doubles. a DNA test will (if it hasn't already been done) confirm this of course. But I'm happy, I know that much.

When did they say this happened? I'm already seeing people claiming DNA tests confirm the prisoner is Saddam.
Well, it's a good thing in any case.
edit: 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Is that really enough time for DNA tests?

I'm going to say that's not enough time for a full-scale DNA test but I'm thinking there are other tests they can do that quickly that would certainly lower the odds of it being a double.

Not enough time for a DNA test, But dental records and medical records would be good. I am sure ther are scars and fillings and details to those to identify him.
I hope we have enough time to hook him uip to the pentathol and suck him dry of all the info we can get on the terrorist underworld. I am sure he knows some methods and people we never dreamed would be involved.
