At least the "Unlimited" set is now available with the Build 13, but i still have HUGE problems with the "Custom Cards" option and the special, tornamentlegal card "Double Overtime" from the DCI and with the missing "Custom" set in "Set Tracking" ( which i would need when the "Double Overtime" is part of the "Custom" set and not of a special "DCI" set ).

Is the problem for you just that you don't like the idea of Double Overtime being part of the Custom set? And that the Custom set is not available in the Set tracking? Or is there an actual problem with the way something is working?

Another link Mordel has forgotten to update.

I found this link at the bottom of the HTML file Unlimited_Trades_List.html

PS: as everybody can edit the HTML files for his trades himself to correct this error, this is only a minor error which doestn justify a new build.

The problem is that i have enough Double Overtimes that i am able to trade them away for other cards i need for my six-pack ( once i had 12 DO )

As i want to keep track of my DO's in my decks and in my trades, i would prefer a special DCI set which contains not only the Double Overtime but the box powers too.

As the box powers have the same size as a normal BT TCG card, but no backside, i usually cut the box powers out and put them in a sleeve like the other cards of this deck, including the 8 cards of the sideboard.

As a result of this one of my decks can contain up to 69 cards ( up to 60 in the deck, 8 in the sideboard and 1 which represents the box power for this deck )

I would prefer if i can have more than one custom set too, to keep track of different custom sets created by different peoples for different purposes.

Well, you only have 1 custom set "container". However, you can export them into seperate files and distribute them as sets. I can assure you that there will be only 1 Custom Set. How you wish to handle that 1 set is up to you. Like I said, I recommend keeping each set in it's own Export file.

That i have only ONE container is excactly the problem i have with the currrent state of the custom set

That means that in the filter i cant easily select between different sets, which leads to the perverse situation that i have to export and delete cards from the custom set instead of simply filtering them out of the cards i want to use to build a deck.

Because of the way it's setup, something like that would require an internal overhaul. I'm definitely not up to doing that at the moment. If you add is as an Enhancement in the eBugTrak utility on this site it'll at least be there should I ever decide to do it.

As long as you make a special DCI set, which contains the card "Double Overtime" and maybe the box powers too, the current state of the "Custom set" isnt that important.

After all, everbody who releases his own new expansion set for BT TCG can ask you to create a special set for his cards like the DCI set

PS: I asume you havent removed the ability to add new sets to the database in DB 3.0

Willy, one of my friends here in Vienna, is testing your DB 3.0.0 build 13 too and told me severals things he doesnt like in the current build.

He misses the ability to print out cards ( in correct size so that he can cut them out und put them into sleeves so that he can play with proxies to test his decks ) and he isnt satisfied with the low resolution of the scanned images of the cards.

Because of the low quality of the scanned images, i want to ask you if you can split up DB 3.0.0 into 2 ZIPed files in the next build.

The 2nd file should contain all the artwork from the "C:/Programme/Dolphin Software/Deck Builder/Images" directory which has a size of ~8 MB on my harddisk.

The 1st file should contain all other files from the "C:/Programme/Dolphin Software/Deck Builder" directory which are not in the 2nd file.

As my "C:/Programme/Dolphin Software/Deck Builder" directory currently has a size of less than 14 MB, i expect that the compressed 1st file with everything that is needed to run DB, except the images, should have a size of less than 4 MB.

This not only has the advantage that it is easier to download a new build of the alpha version of DB 3.0.0, it also has the advantage that someone can easily creade 2nd files with images of the cards in a lower or higher resolution

Sadly i dont have a scanner myself right now, but in the future this may enable me to create a 2nd file with images of a total size of up to 600 MB so that i can give a new player a CD-ROM which not only contains Mordels Deck Builder and a database of my cards, but also the images in a very high resolution to fill the otherwise empty space of the CD-ROM

Ummm... 2.0 never had the ability to print cards either!? So what exactly is he talking about? Did he do something special to print the cards?

As for the low resolution of the images, I'm aware of that. They are actually the same images used for 2.0, and that is the problem. The card picture was smaller, so the images didn't need to be at a higher resolution.

One of my projects to do is rescan all the artwork images at a much higher resolution so they look much nicer and crisper in the Deck Builder.

Splitting the distributed files up into an artwork file and an application file is a good idea. I'll make sure to do that starting with the next Build and going forward.

He never used DB 2.0 !
This was only one of the points he didnt like about DB. I know that this isnt a fault, but you can add it to the list of possible enhancements which might be added to DB in the future.

Willy also told me that he is missing the artwork for several cards. "Double Overtime" seems to be one of these cards without artwork.
Didnt I trade you one of my spare DO's in the past, so that you should be able to include a scanned image for this card too ?

In the BOX POWERS you use the TAP symbol from WotC, but when i look at the SUPPORT cards from the Commanders Edition, you still write "Tap" and "1R" instead of using the correct symbols.

By the way I still have troubles with the "Custom Cards" !
Because of the problems, I have deinstalled DB, deleted the directories to get rid of all unwanted files, and then installed it again, but the problem is still there

When I remove all selections from Card Sets in the Card Filter, except that for the "Custom" set, I see a card in the Card List which has the name "Hollander BZK-F3", but on the left side i see the "Double Overtime", which by the way is missing the DCI ruling that you have to add "Scrap when revealed." to the text of this Command card.

I tried to add custom cards but this didnt work as i expected it, delivering results which damaged other custom cards or produced errors like :

Access violation at address 7F8F4713 in module 'RICHED32.DLL'. Read of address 044DFFEC.

After i clicked on the OK button, I got another error of the same type with a lower "Read" address.

I had to kill the Deck Builder task to get rid of these errors !

When i delete "Double Overtime" from my custom set the "Hollander BZK-F3" card, which always stay at the top of my custom cards, magicaly takes the values of the new 2nd card of my custom set.

In the current state the "Custom cards" feature is nearly useless for me

Mex,

I tried to reproduce the erros, but couldn't. I was able to add custom cards with no errors. Could you please run me through step-by-tep how you got the errors? Which cards were in the CUstom set when you started? What buttons did you click from program startup to the time the errors popped up? I'll need this info if I am to squash the bug.

How about reproducing another ERROR:

Please filter out all cards with the word ( "repair" ) in the text, then filter for all cards with ( "repair" AND "damage" ).

As far as i understand it, this should filter out ONLY those cards which have the word "repair" and the word "damage" in the text.
But when i try it, i get MORE hits for ( "repair" AND "damage" ) as for ( "repair" ) alone !
