Ok, if you don't want to see the mighty Mordel succumb to sappy thoughts, then don't read any further.
So there I was, watching the Red Sox get pounded on 5-0 after losing the first game, and I was a little upset and feeling pretty crappy. So, I hopped in my car to my daughter from day care.
All I need to say is the second she saw me and crawled to the door smiling and laughing, whatever I felt before had slipped away. She continued to laugh and make funny faces at me on the right home. So, even if it only last one night, I realize there are more important things than baseball...

I have no children this reminds me of that.I hope you realize how blessed you are. I am 50 now ,my chances of being a father are remote now .Be carefull with what you have it is precious.

Actually you could do what we did. I adopted all my girls. Since I'm not capable of fathering any children, it was the only option open to us. It's the best decision I have ever made in my life.

My wife keeps telling me that it is a good thing we didn't have any girls. I'm not real sure what she means, but I think it might be the conversation i had with a friend of mine where I suggested he borrow my rifle and sit in the kitchen cleaning it when his daughter started dating.

Oh yeah...boy is she right. I'm planning on buying a drug testing kit and a breathalizer to test before they go on their date. My trusty SKS sitting in the open with the cleaning kit!

You know of course the 'ole saying..." Giving a man daughters is the worst thing to do to him, for he will live in fear of them growing up and meating someone JUST like he was....."(mispelled intentionaly..) Or With boys you only have to worry where one prick is, but with girls.......

Who needs weapons?
When my nephew was twelve I taught him how to shoot a rifle. I also told him the first time I saw him disrespect a firearm we were going to tangle and he could not take me.
A couple of years back when he was nineteen he lived with me for a short while. At that time he brought up his shooting lessons and told me that I had really scared him with that promise about tangling.
I told him I meant it then and I still meant it.
Poor boy turned white.

MAny of you remember last winter when my then girlfriend tried to kill herself... what I didn't mention and what not even she knows (yet) is that at the time she was a few weeks pregnat... The chemicals they used to counter act the pills she took killed the unborn child... they did not tell her because they feared she would attempt to kill herslef again and they did not tell her parents because of her mother's instabilities... I havn't told her yet because as soon as she had recovered from her depression she began talking about having children and I just didn't have the heart to tell her that she had been with child... I plan on telling her as soon as she is emotionally stable again.
Posting this in such a public manner feels slightly odd... this has been a weight around my soul from the second I found out... Telling her would make me feel infinatly better but right now I would sound like a desprite ex-boyfriend lying to her to get her to take me back...
I'm sorry for killing the sappy mood of the post but all the talk of children was making me think about it more and more...
