I've been going occasionally to check the news, downloads,and such, but I stay away from the messageboard....not really my kind of crowd anyway, except for the occasional look into the minis section.

Granted she's running a little slower than normal, but I blame that on all the people trying to access it at a single time. Personally, I don't mind having to wait the extra four or five seconds that it takes on my end to get on.

The 'net is slow in Germany, at least if you're trying to get over the border. They have a lot of traffic and too few points where lines join the trans-Atlantic cables. Thus you get traffic jams.
Or so I was told on the BeyondUnreal forums. Believe it if you will.

Generally I have music playing and so the time doesn't bother me. And like I said, some times the lag is only a matter of seconds over what it used to be.

It isn't now.
The problem has been that the Data server has been sharing the same box as the server itself.
Chas has or is fixing that by moving the data server to it's own box. That will solve the problem completely and we'll not have that problem anymore.

May not solve it completely, but setting up a two-tier environment such as that should help eleviate the problem quite a bit. Now, if you can just relax on the Charter thing or at least find out the MA ones and unban them.
