O.K. Joe anything larger than a medium laser will take yours down and the slower speed means that the best movement mod you get is +4 the S-12 can take a PPC blast to the front and a Large laser to the side with the rear arc able to handle up to a medium laser
The S-12bis can take up to guass rifle to the front and a PPC to the side while the rear arc can stop a large laser and both can get movement mods of up to +5 in level 3 play .I prefer to pay for the extra performance and armour better chance for the crew to make it home which is the reason I dropped the ton of ammo for more armore in the S-12bis

it was assumed but now confirmed. your a level 3 player. that changes the field entirely. i'll be scannin your designs, but unless its got something horrendiously wrong i won't be commenting. everything we've been shareing applies to level 1 and 2 play and making a unit acceptable in the cannon universe.

now if you want opinions on units that will fit in the cannon universe, then i'll give one. if you want my opinion on a particular design, pm me and i'll check it out. otherwise i'm probibly not going to give it an op. there are to many rules and items to be given ops on level 3 equipment and players thats anything past OH that cool. or that sucks.

Vagabond:A tad slow for my taste it is cheap I will give you that about half the cost of the Sikorskys. The armour is not bad you might want to look at FF the cost increase would be slight and you would gain 7 points of protectin the equivalent of almost half a ton.One of the reasons I like fast VTOLS in addition to being harder to hit is the fact that they can attack and withdraw faster I sometimes neglect to point that out with mine, the extra speed is used to move in and out fast to keep exposure to enemiy fire to e minimum as a number of people have pointed out here the rotors are always vulnerable. The best way to protect them is to keep out of range or behind cover as much as possable the faster you are the easier it is.

BTW not everything I do is level 3 ,most is level 2 .Alot like my ultra lights uses rules that were once level 1 or 2 10 and 15 ton mechs and LAMS where once level 1 in many cases book level three differs only slightly .Fractional accounting is level 2 for vees and level 3 for mechs, go figure. The only thing that makes 10 and 15 ton mechs level 3 is because an arbitrary decision was made to drop them in 1998 LAMs went in 1994 my use of level 3 is limited to the ultra lights,LAMS (very few) MaxTech and THB and a couple of XL engined conventonal fighters at least for serious work anyways .My scrapvan and the reciprocating saw equiped mechs are tounge in cheek. so keep that in mind when looking at my stuff
