The DH-4 like all conventional fighters is light on armour but makes up for it
in manoverability espaicaly with the VSTOL equipment.
==Deployment==
The DH-4 see limited service with the ODF in both the Army and Air Force
though it is being phased out in favor of larger craft. Some see malita
service though its cost some what limits that

==Overview:==
In 3047 de Havilland fitted a DH-4 airframe with an XL fusion engine in an
effort to recover lost sale calling it the DH-5 from that experiment came the
DH-6
==Capabilities:==
The DH-6 has a very high speed along with the VSTOL equipment make it a very
difficult aircraft to hit though its thin armour pretty much means that if it
is it is gone.The ODF has shown a little interest in it but its cost
limitsmalita interest
==Deployment==
The ODF has a few in evaluation sqadrons.the DESS has shown more interest

I'll have to find the name, but I seem to recall seeing an existing aerospace fighter with this weapons load. While it doesn't have the speed that your deHaviland has, the fact is that it's an aerospace fighter while this unit is trapped in the atmosphere.

| The Star League Trident has the same speed and weapon load out as the DH-4 except for the small laser being rear mounted and Mariks F-10 Cheetah has the same weapon load out as the DH-6 but only has an 8-12 move. However the deHavillands do not need a runway and also have a big edge in manouvarability, first because conventional fighter are more manouverable in an atmospere than an aerospace plus V/STOL fighters can VIFF (vector in foward flight) which enhance the manoverability even further ,and if you want to know how effective viffing is ask the Argintinians who had to face British Harriers in the Falklands.
