According to this month's Suncoast Replay magazine, there is, repeat, *is* a live-action Lupin III movie in the works. However, they had no details as to who the cast would be or even a possible plotline.
Who do you guys think should play the parts?

I have no idea what "Lupin III" is nor do I care, repeat *care*, whom plays who.
Can I presume this is anime of some sort?

It's an anime that follows the exploits of a third-generation international theif named Lupin, as well as his crew of assistants. The series has been around since the 70's and has resulted in many spin-offs (Suncoast estimates 13 series in addition to the 8 movies). If done properly, the movie could possibly be on par with a Bond film.

Animation wise, the series that is on air in the US now was done in '78 IIRC. There's a rather noticible difference between the older series and some of the newer films. In fact the new animated Lupin movie coming out looks so crisp that I'm not even sure it's completely hand-drawn.

That's what makes me wonder. Unless they can snag Pamela Anderson they're probably going to have to go for one of her more updated looks.

I just had a very frightening thought- Bruce Campbell as Zenigata.

As I've said on CBT...

Please, God, no...put someone in the role that I'd actually want to see..."

Wow according to the site they are also working (or planning) on a DBZ movie. I really hope they do the Majin Boo Story line I just cant wait to see 14, 3 hour movies of them fighting him. Much like the last 9 months of watching it on cartoon network. (If the sarcasm ISNT apparent then let me know Ill try harder).
Now a nother animated Kenshin series would be cool.

For Kenshin, allow me to introduce you to the hackfest known as Samurai X. X is a series of OVAs intended to fill the gaps in the story. The first two, Truth and Betrayal, tell of the revolution and Kenshin's part in it. There's a third which is supposed to happen sometime during the series, and then the fourth one happens about 15 years after the series ends. www.cduniverse.com has all of them in their movie section; just put Samurai X into the search function. I will warn you now though that all of them bear the equivalent of an R rating.

Hehe Aye I already have Trust, Betrayal (Directors cut) and Reflection. Does anyone know what the name of the one that happens between Betrayal and Reflection? I figure it must be "Samurai X the motion picture" But Im not sure. And I will admit that at the end of it I did shed a couple tears as I had no Idea how it was going to end and I was so cought up in the story that I was just overwhelemed. My wife loves it as well which is a plus.
