I just read a story on msn.com about the rescue of Private Lynch. When the troops were led by the Iraqi Doctor to where the dead bodies were, they were buried and nobody had any shovels and they were running out of darkness too.

So those guys took back our dead by digging them up with their bare hands. Damn. I've never been in the military myself and I still feel the urge to salute those men.

No matter what your opinion of the war may be it would be hard not to take pride in the actions of every soldier fighting in Iraq.

Even with all the reporters there, for every story we hear there will be hundreds of stories of bravery we will never hear.

I couldn't agree more. That's why it is imperative to support our troops. It doesn't matter if you are dead-set against the war. Rally to your hearts content. But the troops are over there now, so you best support 'em!

Very true. The thing that impresses me most is her actions: supposedly she and five others took a wrong turn away from their company, which is how they got captured. Thing is, she reportedly was only finally captured when she ran out of ammo.

How's that for an iron will, when your 18 year old PFC Supply Clerk woman soldier from rural Virginia runs out of ammo beating those guys back.

I'm pretty sure the standard issue of magazine to a soldier is a 7 clips of 30 rounds of 5.56. Add that to any extra ammo they may've had, being a supply company and all....
