You think that's bad? One guy reported to having 3600+ minis over on the CBT Message Board...and I think Warner's collection numbers in the thousands, IIRC...Also, Archer's (of Archer's Miniatures) also numbers in the thousands...
Mine is around 500 or so, if you count all the tanks, copters, aerospace fighters and Battle Armor (in squads)...

Personally, I'm more worried that the opening bid for that lot was $10. I mean, huh? _________________ "A man who does not speak his own words, does not think his own thoughts." -me

The bidding is up to 3,300+ now with a day a nd a half left to go. What's bad is the thought of having to strip all those mechs. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

I'd have started that lot at a penny...doesn't matter what the starting price is if you have a reserve, in which case the listing price is per the reserve and not the opening bid, or if you know the lot will go for a ton of money, which that lot obviously was.
And if I had the coin to buy that lot (and the time to drive out and pick up the lot) I'd be on it in a second.

its a good investment if you ask me. 3.5k for 1000 minis. about 3.50 per mini. turn arround and sell them off 1-5 at a time on ebay for an average of 4-5 per mech and you get yourself around a nice 900 bucks more then you paid
