The first week of Season 5 is off to a great start with 17 players battling it out for top rankings. Both Bear, Wiggles and Kaliyama are leading the pack as others battle in an attempt to match their winning streaks. Anyone wishing to participate can go to ....

The (edited) Battletech League is not commercial. Its is run by fans, for fans. I would like for you to please explain how it is commercial and considered SPAM. I see many posts on this forum telling folks to go to the Classic Battletech site to look at this or that.... what do you call that?

The reson such posts aren't allowed is simply I do not want people running in here and cluttering the place up with links to their sites, and then never seeing that person ever again. It would be like me running into supermarkets and putting up notices about my great new mini-mart down the street. It tends to clutter the place up. Usually when I'm asked, 9 times out of 10 I allow the person to post a link. After all, in the end, battletech news and happenings are all good for the game.

And form my point of veiw, those who mention the Classic BattleTech Page, post here on a regular basis, and after it is the Official Website, just my two thoughts on the matter, from a relatively neutral standpoint.

I can understand what you are saying, but I think it would have been a little more appropriate if someone would have contacted me about the post instead of the post just being deleted. A little consideration about anything these days can go a long way.  Anyways ..... the EBL is there for anyone and everyone and promotes the game we all love. I am working hard to get the League up to 100 participants each season. This would give us enough players for me to re-open the Team Division and Solaris Division. I have long term goals to have a Gunslinger and Bloodname Division that will possibly run only once a year. But that is a ways off. I hope to see some of your members in the League, and possibly in the playoffs to bring a championship back to this website. A little competition between websites would be fun imho. Anyways ... thanks for letting me post about the EBL, and as I said earlier, I hope to see some of you there.

And to me I think it would be appropriate for someone making their first post to ask the Admin of that board for permission to post a link for something not associated with that board.
If you'd been a regular here your link would not have been an issue in the least.
