==Overview:==
     The Hermes was designed as a heavy scout for the Star League Defense 
Forces. Commissioned in 2632, this prototype holds true to this concept.

==Capabilities:==
     The main asset of the Hermes is its tremendous speed. Capable of sustained
bursts of speed, and unlike the Star League version this version uses 6 tons of 
Stealth Armor which not only increases overall protection but also makes the 
mech harder to hit.. 
     The hand flamer of the Hermes was  replaced with a ER Sl and TAG system.
Suplimenting the Alexis Target Gear is a top of the line targeting computer
tied into a Beagle Active Probe allowing for the detection and actuarate targeting
of hidden units. There is also a C3 Slave tied into the communications gear
allowing the Hermes to broadcaste up to the second recon info back to its lance 
or company.
     With these variations it may be possible for the Hermes to once again 
wide spread use as a forward scout and recon mech.
