I'm setting up a game. And I need help with the opposeing force.
Here's the set up. mostly city battle. But with a seige on the fort on the new map set.
The defeneding forse is Clan Ghost Bears. Who have bid down to 2 heavy stars. And 1 assualt.
The attacking force is House Kurita. They are attacking with 4 lances. the year is 3062. I need advice on what the 16 mechs should be.

I agree, excellent choices. But would they be found in the House Kurita forces. or would it matter?

Three heavy/assault stars of clanners? And Kurita sends four lances to the slaughter? They should send a battalion, IMO.

Yeah, It is a bit to powerfull. So I'll change it to Rho's 243 Battle Cluster " Apollo's Chariot". And lower it to 2 mediums, and 1 Heavy, and set them at Honor code level 2. That should even the playing feild a little. and make it 3067
That's 15 second line clan mechs. against 16 Kurtia (Stated above) With one exception. The commanders of both units will be in assult mechs. The Kurita will be in a Sagittaire. and the clan in a Kodiak
This should be good

Because he`s a former Davionist serving in the 2nd Legion of Vega after defecting? I`d bet a lot of people fled the FedCom civil war, including soldiers.
Anyway, I still think the clanners will beat up the Kuritists by a large margin. Those second-line mechs are powerful too. Clanner mediums can usually beat up IS heavies unless the clan player is hopelessly incompetent.

we shall see, If they do. It fits into the time line. If they fail. It's expected. But I don't think it's all that unbalanced. A bear unit that loses half of it's firepower. or takes 2 critical hits. will leave the field of battle. (They can get repaired and refitted to fit another day) The Kurita are in this this to the end. They are a rogue unit. If they fail. They die. They succeed. They may (or may not) get re-enforcements from the dragon.

So I take it that the above setup that I posted with the CO being in the Sag is the actual Kurita force?
I am really looking forward to seeing the out come of this battle, please let us know what happens....

Yeah, The CO will have a 2/1 skill. And in a Sag. And most of this battle will be in a city. So the clans range advantage will be mostly negated.
