I was browsing through the CBT forums and read a post which mentioned "the Clan invasion from the north" and suddenly the awful secret of the clans was plain. The Clans, you see... they're a bunch of Yankees!

No, they`re just a bunch of inbred fanatics from outer space.

It's a shame what they've done with their superior genetic facilities/abilities.

They should've just cloned Natasha Kerensky about a million times and sent out a badass red-headed clone army to take back Terra. At least if you got clobbered by them, it would be getting clobbered by a babe....schwiiingg!

The CLans have an odd form of Carpet Bagging. Yes but I am taking the fight to them. Trying to tell the the right way to act.

Which brings up a good question: why don't the clans just clone their best warriors? Why bother with the breeding program?

Because they`re stupid? Because they think a breeding program will produce even better warriors after a few generations? Because the scientists haven`t told the warriors how they actually create new warriors?

Perhaps some or most of them actually are clones, the scientists getting lazy? The fact that they`re bred in large units and have relatively few real ancestors since the program began could well conceal the fact from anyone lacking the true records. There has got to be more important research than breeding new gun monkeys and combat wombats

The only tiny problem with this arguement is that in space, there is no north. As you're from Texas, I'm willing to forgive. We have to make big exceptions for our southern holdings.

Y'all have a nice day now, ya hear?

Raven, who believes that the North should rule the world with an iron fist!

I personally found "Combat Wombats" to be better even with the down under twist.

Can`t really claim the honors for them, though. I must thank Steve Jackson Games and their Munchkin's Guide To Power Gaming.

You know the theory of the Clans being Yankees can't be true, after all they are not all blue.

The North can't rule the world, Texas and the South are already doing that. Heh.

And did you know it was Texas that won WWII? Macarthur and Patton both spent much of their lives stationed in Texas, at least a decade each of their time as officers. Nimitz and Eisenhower were native born Texans and so was was the guy who commanded the 8th Air Force in Europe. The Division the Germans called our best unit was a Texas raised division (the 36th Inf? I forget the number). And the most decorated soldier of the whole war? Texan Audie Murphy.
