I like the Loc and Mad, but this Ostroc actually LOOKs like it's war machine not a long distance runner... So I am voting for the Ostroc.

I think the one with the most improvement over the old is the OSR so that got my vote as well. Of course stat wise I like the MAD II the best and looks wise it was close, however, I still ahve to go with the heavy for this one.
The LCT IIC 4 looks sweet, though, maybe they should call it 'Hammerhead' instead.
Another Pheonix Hawk IIC at 80 tons. Give me a break! That is NOT and I repeat NOT a Pheonix Hawk!!!

You DID read the fluff, right? It gives a reason why it's an 80 tonner...

They should have left it as a 45 tonner or if a weight increase was needed up it to 55 tons MAX.
The PHawk is a recon/skirmisher NOT an assault mech.

Many designs have been based off of other designs but yet they are not all calld II version of that design, especially when they carry nothing in common besides a basic chasis heavily modified beyond recognition.
NO matter what anyone says that is NOT a Pheonix Hawk. It should have stayed in the medium range category.

The Phoenix Hawk IIC has always been 80 tons. You just noticed that?
I don't like the new IIC mechs as much as the originals. The Ostroc is a definite improvement over its old version, though.

Bleech, this month was nothing to really wait for. I voted for the MAD II by default. I mean both looks and load out did not do anything for me. OST did have a cool look, but I hate laser boats.

The MAD II. Heavy Gauss rifles are not as bad weapons as you might think. Especially when backed up by other weaponry.

PXH IIC. Not because of it's looks, which are decent, but the MAD II looks better IMHO. I picked that one because I absolutely love it's fluff.
Which is highly subjective of course.
I'm a bit biassed since I've been hoping for some Clan POV fluff on their older Mechs kind of like TRO 3025 tends to do.
I like how it's explained why they made it that big (whether you agree with it or not ), and why only CSV had em for a while. The reasons for the existence of the HLL and ATM variant also make sense, and are a nice story.
But that could just be me.
Performance wise, I'm inclined towards selecting the MAD II and the Locust IIC as the most potent.

I haven't voted yet. I wasn't too impressed with any of the mechs either, in image or stats.

NO Gangrene I did NOT just notice that the thing that FASA and now FanPro calls a Pheonix Hawk IIC is 80 tons.
Just that fact of it's return with new artwork, which is almost worse in my opinion than the original, set me off again.
The first time I saw TRO 3055 I was pretty upset, probably would have done damage to the book had it been mine.

Well sincethe first month I think the artwork has gone steadily down hill. The Locust and Phawak are my farorites of this run. But even they are pretty weak looking.

Most of the mechs look pretty decent, but the original IIC pics are much better than the new pics.
