My personal 'Mech in the PBEM game I'm playing
is a standard CN9 A Centurion. I want it to achieve a cruising speed of 50 kph at least, I mean.. I want to gain 10 kph, so it can sustain speeds of 50 kph easily, and 70 kph maximum
(5/7 movement)

Using Star League tech and/or weight savings, can you find someway of making it run faster?

Restrictions:

No XL engine.

I want to keep the Autocannon, though it can be replaced by a LB-10X

I'm thinking of dropping the LRM and perhaps the rear firing medium laser reduce the weight to 45 tons.. with the standard power plant.. what speed I'd achieve?

If possible, I'd like to keep a secondary backup weapon, perhaps a SRM rack.

Any ideas?

You can use MaxTech for this, fractional accounting, superchargers..whatever does the trick

An interesting challenge. Here's my entry. I had to remove an actuator to fit it all in, but now you can flip the AC so I hope that balances it out for you. I kept the standard AC because of the wealth of unqiue munitions for it. Lastly, I left the CN9-V at 50 tons. Enjoy.

Great, thanks.. let's remove the rear firing medium laser, and put an SRM-6 into this baby, and it will be ready to go.

Great work

EDIT:
Never mind, I found out it's better to use a Star League Centurion and change the XL for a standard 200 engine, and the LRM-10 for a SRM-6

Back to the drawing board.. I think I can get a Star League CN9-D to weigh less than 50 tons and have a top speed of 70 kph
