Anyone else think he just royally ****ed himself over? I'm writing a speech right now concerning the invasion of Iraq for my schools Extemp Speaking Competition (I'm pro on the subject) and with no formal political education I came up wiht the idea of spin-doctoring that into saying "lightning strike, right now, before he has a chance. Here's the justification: *points to Iraq's statement*" Yes, I'm almost estatically proud of myself right now
Anyone else get this? That statement is just more ammo for my speech...

Well someone once said War is hell, but before you go off on a rant about how evil Saddam is for doing this, remember that a lot of countries have done this, including Russia (twice! Opperation Barbarosa and during the Nappolionic Invasion), the United States (when we would burn crops and such of Indians to starve them), countless small tribal groups and perhaps more that I can't think of right now. Its a tried and true tactic and is why War is Hell.
Anyone who thinks that a war against Iraq will be a cake walk for everyone, unless Saddam somehow "makes it worse" is fooling themselves, and I fully invite them to grab an M-16 and go over there to fight. People will die, and in large numbers, and among those that deserve to die will be a great number of those who don't. You might want to add that in.

My biggest worry is what a couple of my co-workers (who were in the military, one of which might be called back into service, as I don't think she got out too long ago, and had airborne training and was last with a chemical unit) have been saying...that most likely alot of the fighting that will be done in the upcoming war will be done on US soil...
