Agreed the Legionnaire isnt really suited for Command. Its a much better body guard or line breaker. I personally use the Devistator as a Command mech the firepower it can bring to bear is very handy.

I think I'll go with the 3050 BLR-3M Battlemaster, I like the comination of the ER PPC 6 MLS and SRM 6

| Um, ok, why does that mech say it's 3025 tech, yet carries ER weapons and a XL engine?

Probably because no one changed it to reflect an actual time. Most of my designs say the wrong year too, 'cause I don't pay much attention to it.
