...is up.
I thought it'd be up on Wensday, but it was worth the wait. The Valkyrie seems to have no neck, but is pretty good.
The Scorpion, Crusader and Long Bow all look wonderful. A great update.

To me the Crusader looks like the old Shogun Warrior toys that had the launching arms...still have the robot, but no arms for it anymore,...and it just doesn't have that Crusader look either.
The head seems way to small for the rest of it and the rounded armor just seems to give it more of VOTOMs look then a mech look.
BUT, they have seem to get away from the Bruce Jenner look and the Jango/Bobba Fett gunslinger look so that is a major improvement in my book.

Thank goodness for that. The old Crusader and Wolverine art did not agree with me. Was pretty much the ugliest 'Mechs I'd ever seen.
Good looking art won't make a 'Mech, but bad looking art will sure as heck break one...

Visually, these are some of the best mechs.
Stats-wise, I have a few beefs. For starters, why go with a Light Engine and an LB-X on the Scorpion? I understand the reasoning from the fluff, but it nags at me. Also, why not have CASE on the Valkyrie? I admit that the full-head ejection system is a big plus tho.

Why not go with an LBX? I'm just happy to see something besides laser boats. A few of these machines have no lasers.
It leads to shorter games. Maybe not deadlier, but certainly shorter.

FEH! The old Crusader and Wolverine are ugly mechs?! I've heard some odd statements before, but come on! I loved the old Crud's look. Can't say the same about the Wolv, but still thought it pretty good. Though I cannot say the same about the Crud specs though. One of the dumbest designs. All the weapons in the arms & legs. Sheesh.
Anyways. As far as the new looks go, the Scorp & Longbow look pretty good. 'Almost' like the originals. The Valk would look alot better if it actually had a neck i think. As for the new Crud's look, well it looks like Crap.

I personally think this is the best set of four yet for looks. The longbow especially looks nasty.

Actually, I think that as far as the fear factor is concerned the Rifleman would have to take it. The way the barrels for the RACs are drawn they look like they're almost as big as some light mechs.

BTW, I'd also like to note that the idea of a Scorpion LAM design is both very funny and oddly interesting. I wanna see someone come up with a Fan-Tech Miniature for it. That would be one cool Mini to have I think.

I still feel the PXH looks the coolest.
I suppose I may be a bit biassed. =)
