Does anyone here know why at the CBT Website, there seems to be a pic from MW:DA posted on the main page? Or am I mistaken and thats a "Classic" mech wielding a chainsaw.

The times lines are going to merge eventually, so I guess to them it doesn't matter much. But that's the cover of Record Sheets: Mechwarrior 1.

Yes, I understand that the current timeline will eventually flow into the Dark Age. No prob with that. No prob with the whole MW:DA game either.
It's just that when I go to CBT I kind of expect to see something to do with Classic BTech, not an ad for MW:DA. Are we jumping ahead the 60 (?) years already? Does "Classic" stand now more for just the game engine rather than a particular time period of the BattleTech universe?
I eagerly await for the timeline to continue (slowly and progressively)and for new products to keep coming forth to keep the game fresh. But on the other hand I'm not ready to give up my Thunderbolt for a logger mech quite yet, which is what I thought "Classic" was all about.

*DING! DING! DING!*
WE HAVE A WINNER!
And when put together with the fact that this is the cover for the Record Sheets: MechWarrior Dark Ages 1, we have a Classic BattleTech pic! And a damn fine looking one too, I might add...hope they put it out as a print so I can frame it and hang it...even if that is a Snake Jupiter...
BTW...anyone notice who was the pilot of that SM1 Tank Destroyer? I'll give a hint...he was piloting a Sagittaire in another sourcebook...

if you read the fluff on some of those MW:DA mechs, some of them are actually produced within the 3070's. Like the Ryoken II I think which supposally comes out in 3075. It would be cool to have actual official utility mechs for use in a normal game though I think. As I would think those would be included within the new RS. So it's really not so much an ad for MW as it is simply a new RS for BT people to play with.
Oh, and here's an interesting thought. If Iron Wind Metals actually goes and makes normal miniatures of these things, think of all the fun modifications one can make with some custom changes. Rip off the chainsaw of one of the utility mech mini's and attach it to an Atlas's arm or something.

That is the cover art for Record Sheets: Dark Age. It will have BT record sheets of the mechs from Dark Age and will allow you to play them with table top minis rules. It's vaguely a CBT product.
