Capabilities
A standard engine powers the laser-heavy Sagittaire, giving it a top speed of 54 kph. It mounts Rowling 90s giving it a jump radius of 90 meters. This variant of the fearsome SGT-8R, is designed to use low technology parts that make it cost attractive for many of the Militias who could not afford the 8R. This give them a potent laser heavy Assault Mech that is jumpable. It uses the communication system from the Banshee and Targeting and Tracking System from the Battlemaster. The idea was to use parts common in the IS and making it cheaper to maintain while being able to obtain those replacement parts easily. It differs from the 8R in that it moves the previously leg-mounted jump jets to the side torsos and allowing installation a total of 4 HS in the legs. This allows it a better cooling capability when its legs are immersed in water or snow. Another change is the addition of a small laser to the left arm.

Manufactured from Robinson BattleWorks in 3068, it is being deployed in many of the militias as well the Regular units friendly to the Federated Suns and its allies.

Although the BV is only off by a few numbers, it is mostly impressive for an all energy Mech which indicated that when it does overheat after an alpha strike with forward weapons and jumping full range, is not too terrible. Here you goes, the data; 40(Forward weapons heat+Jump Jets heat) - 33(Heat Sinks capacity) = 7 overheat.
