Finally back up. That was uglier than I thought. Was going great until the php Admin tool started flipping out on me. And in the middle of all that I was trying to get things done for my upcoming move. And blah blah blah...
To make a long story short, we're back again, for now! _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Boy, leave it to a programmer to really foul things up. I've said before, I'll say it again. Programmers create problems, networking people find a way around the problems. _________________ The more I get to know people the more I like my dog.

Hey, but at least some of us programmers can find our way out of the hole we dug. Usually, that is. Don't want to jinx myself after all. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

You haven`t screwed up until you realize that 'PC Tools' isn`t a toy and your entire HD is now empty...

That isn't a "programmer's" problem, that's a "user's" problem.

BTW, just remember that a programmer will get one machine at a time snarled up. The network guy can destroy your whole LAN with one mistake

I am what I consider a veteran user...if I have a question about something and its affects I wait and try it out on someone else's machine.

Mordel,
All I ask is that your site does not go down for a extended extended period like it did a few years back. That was murder. We had to find a new place to hang out and everything, I think people from the B&G scattered to a few dozen boards, and I'm not sure all of them ever found their way back here. I can survive a short interuption in service, but anything like a few years ago I just won't stand for,

You've got to understand, when I comment on Mordel's fudging of the board's database it's the comment of one IT pro on another's work. Not just the nitpicking of a user (UGH!) _________________ The more I get to know people the more I like my dog.

An untalented networking tech can take down your LAN, and good one can take down your WAN. But a good one also is holding your data hostage. You have backups, right?
