Just wanted to stop by for a drink and publicly state my appreciation for Mordel in getting the forums on my newly located site working. In almost less time than it took me to tell people it would be a while, he had them running great. Which is great for me, as I'm still learning how to spell PHP.
Thanks Mordel!

I wish that were true! As a designer of equipment that maintains railroad track, I can say that they go "off track" more than we'd like.

no, he'd add a trillion dollars to it by federalizing battletech, and starting required school education in its fundimentals.
plus, all use mordelians would have to get free housing, medical, food n drink, so we can have the longest game of battletech ever held.
world problems and wars would be fought on the game table instead of on the feild. we weekly stomp the heads of every major nation. and the only way to feild more troops is to send finanical aid to the poor and suffering nations.
if you send 12 million in releaf, you can build up to 12 million c-bills of units. nations would be given production limits based on real world capacity, but this can be sudo upgraded by sending releaf or aidding the helpless. ya thats it.... the future is battletech. battletech will free us all. its so beautifull.

Trial by Combat..... that feels kinda 3rd century, ya sure why not.
no no no, i got a better idea. thats the appeal system. you wanna appeal, you call for a trial of refusal.... lol. the state designates there regional champion as the opponet, and they dook it out. and to make it really interesting, IF the prisoners pilot gets killed in game he/she gets exicuted, regardless of your crime.
that'll stop most people from appealing. lol.
trials of grievences are neighborhood events, were the looser gets shamed infront of his neighbors.
oh, this could be so much fun to consider. lol.
ooc- you know, where some sick puppies.

Oh, I don't know. I've seen worse ideas for running a country...some of them actually happened too.

Like I said before Rick, anytime. And I actually did very little in the grand scheme of things. You moved all the files from server A to server B. Put in ticket after ticket to your Help desk (do they love you yet?). Essentially all I did was answer questions and import your database. Changed a couple settings so it would work, and that was it.
Now, when you upgrade to 2.0, that will require more effort, I'm sure, on my part. Just let me know when you're ready!
Oh, and you are always welcome for a free drink on the house whenever you stop by. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

What's that song the jukebox is playing? Oh yeah, it's "My heart pumps purple panther piss for you."
Shaddap already, at least you get the op rate. The rest of us have to pay the patron rate or bring in good salvage that Chihawk needs.
