I say let them have the Clan tech factories but limit what they can make...like if you say they can build Clan tech engines but not Clan Endo steel or maybe the it's the other way around...

Maybe they can't make Clan Pulse Lasers or maybe the can but they run hotter for some reason. Things like this I think would be a better way of dealing with what they have, then taking it away...

We know they were doing work on the Light Engines...maybe use that as another disadavantage by saying they ran out of the key comment that let's them make Clan tech engines...or something like that.

As for their naval, I am making a guess based off the hints from WOLF PACK, that they a couple of Frigates as far warships go and the rest are dropships and jumpships....with there normal amount of aerospce fighters etc...

I really doubt that 2 frigates will be much a hinderence to anyone, given that Jamie and the Dragoons as a whole seem happy with Outreach and I don't see them going on a jihad to take over the Inner Sphere...

Things with the Hounds and WiE, I would say that they full merge with the LCAF and the Arc-Royal Defense Corriodor becomes a new Theather for the LC and the Kells and their Wolf Allies are there to stop a Falcon attack or attacks by the Wolves.

Maybe have both the Fed-Suns and the Lyran Com reconize the Ghost Bears as a legimate politcal initey and have them sign some kind of non-aggerasion pact or something that keeps the Bears a thorn in the side of the Wolves and the other Clans.

Maybe do a FRR/GBD merger or something since that seems to have always been a posibility.

I think you should try to have more showings from some of the major military hardware makers and such...say a company prefects the black boxes and tries to move in on the ComStar HPG market...or maybe the WoB becomes the group who the FWL and CapCon do business with instead of ComStar...(I Know that is already happening but it get's better) this allows an engergetic leader in the WoB to remove all of the nuts and he or she turns what was once a group wackos in a powerful interstealler commo company that is the equal of ComStar...

I will have to give things for other parts some more thought...

Karagin's idea wins on the Clan-Tech issue. They can make Clan-Tech, but it's not QUITE as good as real Clan-Tech. Their navy can stay as is, I thought it was bigger. Have never read Wolf Pack, so I'll need help writing a future for them. (Any volunteers? You could help with the Gray Death Legion while you're at it. Another big mercenary unit I know little about.)

Recognizing the GBD is good, but it should happen after they Absord the FRR, I think.

WoB is the only thing I really want gone. IF everyone else is against me though, I'll just smack them around and hopefully they'll learn they're lesson. But to me they are simply an unnecssary extra piece in this puzzle. Terra goes back to ComStar though, WoB can make Peirphery state if they want worlds.

So what is the opinion on WoB? Are there really any supporters?

The Kell Hounds can join the LCAF if that's what everybody wants, but I think the WiE would more likely to join the Neo-SLDF like the Nova Cats.

You know, we tried to do this back about a year and a half ago... Does anyone still remember that. If so, does anyone have any of the material that we made up, you know, to save time!

I believe it can still be easily argued about how the Dragoons got widdled down. Just have the WOB do their sneak attack that blasts everything like in the DW timeline. Only it doesn't go over quite as well for the WOBbies. Or as bad for the WD. Could just say WOB concentrated most of their firepower on the factories and naval assets. But somehow they cant seem to pull off actually finishing the WD off. Say by a comstar agent with them having leaked the info out prier to the attack allowing maybe the FS or CS to then surprise the WOB's. Or simply getting an early warning to the WD instead.

As for what the WD actually had for naval assets, they apparently had a couple orbital stations and more than just 2 frigates I believe. Gotta remember that the Wolf Pack happened like 15 or so years earlier. They could easily have gone out to wherever the rest of their stored clan stuff to increase their strengths.

As for the comment about the clan treaty, I believe that is already over. It was only for 15 years starting from what, 3052 i think? And thus would end in 3067 after the civil war. Nice timing eh? As well as that when the SLDF beat the clans back on the homeworld, it was suppose to have ended the war period. Except for Clan Wolf maybe Jade Falcon.

I think I'll have to wait for the new Field Manual: Mercs before I do much with the Dragoons. It seems awful hard to pinpoint their strength right now.

This is *exactely* what a March Lord is supposed to do. The state of the entire FedSuns is not his job, thats the job of the First Prince. The March Lords duty is first and foremost to his people and his March. Duty to the First Prince comes second. George Hasek did the right thing, he stayed out of the fight untill he was attacked. Blunting moves by the CapCon to gain more worlds is also what he should be doing, just like Sandoval should be concentrating on the Dragon.

The WoB attack is the poorist excuse to make changes from.

The Dragoons are already down from their civil war, and fighting on Convetry prior to Operation Bulldog and Serpeant.

So taking them down anymore would be point less. The Dragoons don't do much but run Outreach and hire out some of their troops...they aren't a major threat to anyone.

They brough back everything they had at Bristol...so where else are they going to get more warships from?

Unless they have the famous add water and mechs grow on trees spell.

Like I said, as for now, I'm just going to leave them (the Dragoons) alone. As for Duke Hasek, Oystein has a point. But I never said I wasn't paranoid. Prolly why I haven't made Colonel...

EDIT: And in case there was confusion, I wanted ideas for him (George Hasek) in general. (It might have seemed like I wanted ways to get rid of him.) But since I'm planning a CapCon invasion, he'll be busy for 3068 at least. And as a reminder, the website link above has the up to date info. I'm not simply going to keep editing the first post I made.

I could be wrong, but wasn't the GDL pretty much killed off in "The Dying Time?"
Of course Alex survived, but even if he started them back up, it would be a completely different unit...

Well, I asked if I should rebuild them and got a very emphatic yes. But I don't know much about their history or Alex or anything...

The books you would need to get good solid info on the Gray Death Legion would be their old scenario pack as well as the Day of Heros scenario pack...I think that the old Merc Handbook has some info on them as does the FM Merc...

The GDL seem to having something of a pheonix thing going for them, weren't they beaten to pretty much the same blood pulp that they are now once before? It would only make sense if they did it again.

Yes, but the core characters survived to train new people....now there is no one but Alex left...
