blah blah.
i posted this in another thread with no pictures.
guess all you old timers have trouble reading nowawdays.
anyways
here goes. A heads up for project phoenix from us LOTBers

I assembled these out of intermediate parts and added custom weapons and poses. As intermediates they both are missing some of the detail that will be on the final minis.
For example, under the Locust cockpit side windows there is supposed to be detailed panels. Also the hip actuators are not detailed. These things were corrected on the final.
I was so preoccupied with other projects that the deadline snuck up on me.
Anyway, the sneak peek of the final version will go up next week.
For now, I hope these conversions end the torture.

| On the distribution versions the P-Hawk will have its feet on a base and the legs on a sprue. Assembled it should be at a slight walk.
The distribution locust will have its front two toes on a base insert and will be at a slight walk as well.
The "Lords" (we are kicking that name around right now) version of each will consist of;
P-Hawk;
2 jj, 2 upper legs, 2 lower legs, 2 feet, 2 shoulder pads, 2 upper arms, 2 lower arms, guns, head,lower torso, upper torso and 2 hands. (around 25 parts)
Locust;
2 legs, 2 toe assemblies, lower torso, upper torso and guns.
(around 10 pieces)
Off the sprue,
its up to you,
those toes
can be put in a pose,
all it takes
is a little glue.
hehehe, sorry, couldnt resist...
Chris deserves all the credit for these designs, I just did my best to follow his artwork. Thank Warner too because he is the one who pushed the project.

Cool. Maybe I ought to try putting together minis again. The last ones I bought came out so badly I haven't painted them.

Hello Culverin...
Next time if you could use links instead of adding the images it would be greatly appreciated.
Some of us browse from work and/or have slower connections so multiple images like that can cause issues.

I like em. the pheonix hawk looks a little squat in the third picture tho. looks like its wearing a mask.
And the Locust is sweet. to me it kinda looks like a smaller sleaker catapult

In pieces? and how much is that going to change the pricing I wonder? Ive noticed that over the last couple of years they have started to think all gamers are swimming in money

www.classicbattletech has had all the reseen since August- four new images and their stats are posted each month. The Locust and Stinger are from the August batch.
Personally, of the 12 out there the ones I'm waiting for the most are the Archer, the Wasp, and the Rifleman.

Have you seen the stats for the new Archer and Rifleman?
The Archer is the FRR design from ****. Yes, they're only 15-racks now, but they still crammed the large laser on *and* kept three of the mediums.
The Rifleman is down to just twin RAC 5s and twin medium lasers. However, the armor is slightly thicker and *the thing has jump jets!* It goes 4/6/4 and has been redesigned with the scare factor in mind. The RAC assembly makes up almost all of the arm.

The Iron Wind Metals site is still saying $6.95 for the P-Hawk and $7.95 for the Locust...the T-Bolt is also $7.95, while the Marauder is $8.75...
I'm going to be a poor, poor man soon...

I still do not like either of the new looks for them. Maybe the final versions will be better, but somehow I don't think so. And isn't the new Locust suppose to have guns for arms now instead of launchers? At least that's what I remember from the PPTRO Art anyways.
