Okay seems that my former high school classmates want to have a class reunion at the end of the month, nice planning so far, and I was wondering is this something worth going to?
So I thought I would toss this out to you guys and get your input...are class reunions worth the time and effort to go to?

No problem
Now for the topic at hand...I have never gone to any of my class reunions and don't plan to go in the future. All the people I care to talk to that I went to high school with I still talk to so I have no need to go to any of the reunions.

That is what I was thinking as well, but a couple of my friends at work brought up some points about seeing the old crowd, maybe finding out what is going on etc...

I haven't seen anyone from High School in 15 years. The Old Crowd consisted of a wopping 5 people. The rest were to busy being in clicks...Jocks, stoners, Brains...
I'd go to see those five people and to people watch. To see how far they have fallen....
Bitter??? Moi????
Never...I'm a Scorpio... I'm vengeful not bitter....

Seems that not going is a better option...though it would be interesting to see who is still playing the game of I am better then you because...18 years ago that might have been important but it's not now...well to some it still is.
Off hand guess I think they (the four who are trying to make this happen) might get a mere 20 to 30 people show up...don't think that is worth going just to see 20 people half of whom I see off and on through out the year any ways.

I`ve been to one class re-union, the ten-year mark. Our Gymnasium is a school you go to at the same age americans go to High School, so I feel confident chiming in. There weren`t that many people I really wanted to see, and those I usually keep in touch with anyway. I did manage to pick up the numbers of two more worthy individuals I`ve missed a bit, so it wasn`t a total loss. About half of the crowd showed up, and yes, the old cliques formed quite fast Besides, people I just had nothing to say to before started looking like people I would like to beat severely today.

People watching is fun. That is the main reason to go, IMO. I am actually kind of looking forward to my high school reunion (whenever it happens). I want to see how people have done, how far all the stupid popular kids have fallen, how many got pregnant right out of high school, how many have died . . .
Hmm, I might be bitter.
