Just picked one up at BJs! Can't wait to watch it 10-12 times!
It also has the trailer for The Two Towers.

Aye....something like at least 30 minutes extra scenes, depending on which version you get (there might be 2 versions coming out...not too sure). But its gonna be something like $80. it will have scenes not in the theatrical release...
I am gonna end up trading in my newly bought version for the SE in November. I love upgrading.

Alright...watched my "Preview" for it on my LOTR DVD.
It has
4 Discs...2 of which are brand new behind the scenes stuff. A few things here and there to fill your fancy too.

I am choosing the hard path and not purchasing it until the extended DVD comes out. Believe me when I say that it took a lot of self contol to not put down the $16 for the widescreen DVD when I saw it on sale yesterday.

Yep, passed through a Walmart to get food on the way home from work tonight. And there was Lord of The Rings on DVD and tape right in front of the cash registers, about 18.99. So much for my firm decision to enter and buy only some food and sodas. And don't even ask me what happened when I passed near the electronics section.
