My wife and I are just starting our Battletech collection and we want to start painting. We have 12 'Mechs from CGL and one 3D-printed miniature. (If that affects how paint is applied.)
We have several can of primer from home projects, but they are all all gloss finish, will that matter?
I've also heard different recommendations about whether it's better to start with a black or a white primer. It sounds like that depends on whether you are going to be painting a light or dark main color, is that correct?

Not many painters in here. The last time I painted a mini was 35 years ago with tester model paint. So, I'm not the one to answer. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Fair enough. Maybe I'll just give it a try on my Commando, I don't care if that one ends up ugly. _________________ One sword at least thy rights shall guard...
