Force Management allows you to add Canon units, or custom units you've created. It won't allow you to add units created by other users. There is something wonky with the 'Canon only' checkbox that I'll put a bug in for and look.

Yes. You can go to unit designer page for the applicable unit type, then click the Load button near the bottom. Uncheck the box for 'Canon only' and type the name of the design you want to load into the filter box. The results will show you the full name of the design along with the user who designed it.
