I can guess the answer.
Because the popup explicitly warned me.
But I just want to double-check.
If I make any changes at all to the [BASE] of a custom OmniMech, including just typing new fluff, every alternate config that uses that base gets deleted completely, right? Not unhooked or set to private or anything, just gone forever and need to repost?

Correct. There is an enhancement open to allow some changes that does not do that. Because honestly, that is absolutely horrible behavior. Do you have a suggested list of things that can be changed that SHOULD NOT kill alternate configurations?
Some of these are hidden to certain users, but this is my current list:
- Source
- Designer
- Master Unit List ID
- Privacy
- Image
- Fluff (Role, Overview, Capabilities, etc.) _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

That list looks about right. Basically just any pure nonfunctional thing should be safe.
Maybe everything on the Manufacturer tab too?

Yeah, that's probably a good one to include as well. Technically should be the same but the system lets you change those today anyways. But I'd agree that is non-functional and if you made a mistake like a typo, it's kind of crap you'd have to redesign the configs because of that. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
