Overview:
    Yelm Weapons of Fletcher, then producer of the Nightshade ECM VTOL for the SLDF, was asked
    to design a series of Helicopters for use in militias and standard line regiments.
    One would have to be a heavy weight attack helicopter able to deliver a heavy punch at
    considerable range. It should use a standard fusion engine and standard weapons and
    equipment (to save cost and, as VTOLs tend to get lost over enemy territory, to reduce the
    risk of high tech falling into the enemies hands).
    Yelm answered with the Fencing Master.

Capabilities:
    The Fencing Master is very fast for its weight and carries only a minimum amount of armor
    because its main defense is intended to be speed.
    A RAMTech series large laser provides heavy firepower at a reasonable range and two small
    lasers provide additional punch if things get close and messy. Testpilots noted that a ton
    of additional armor would be more useful under that conditions but serial production began
    without modification.

Deployment:
    Several thousand were produced for the SLDF.
    When Paulina Weapons introduced the Cyrano Gunship in 2622 The Fencing Masters were slowly
    phased out. At the end only a few dozen machines survived the Succession Wars on the edges
    of the inner sphere.

Variants:
    There were some field modifications trading one or both small lasers for additional armor.
