Overview:
Designed for reconnaissance and headhunting work against Spheroid opponents, the Wolf
Empire's Huay Chivo is an advanced stealth OmniMech with a variety of capabilities afforded
to it by its Void-Signature System and other electronics. When it does decide to make
itself known, the 'Mech has an intimidating visage and silhouette as to deter potential
attackers or frighten a target. It also possesses great speed thanks to a strong reactor and
advanced myomer, allowing it to close for the kill with whatever weapons are at its
disposal.
Of course, its non-Clanlike way of operation makes it be seen as an undesired assignment by
many Warriors, going insofar as to consider anyone who regularly pilots one dezgra.
Nevertheless, the 'Mech has staying power due to its effectiveness, though is often held in
reserve until it is needed due to its understandable association with the dishonorable. It
also naturally is disqualified from participating in honorable inter-Clan battles, being
implicitly cut down immediately as soon as bidding begins. The only times the Huay Chivo has
been deployed against fellow Clanners is to hunt down those who have gravely dishonored
their Clan and/or the Clans as a whole and fled retribution.
With the establishment of the Third Star League with the Wolves as ilClan, the Huay Chivo
would see more usage by the freeborns of the reformed Star League Defense Force, who would
give it the nickname of Chupacabra. Since they hold no reservations about such 'dishonorable
dirty work', it is believed more effective in their hands than that of the Trueborn Royals.
Capabilities:
The 55-ton Huay Chivo, designed in collaboration with Spartan MechWorks, is an expensive yet
powerful stealth & electronic warfare platform. Built on a Foundation 55 Mod. SPHC
Endo-Composite chassis, the 'Mech uses a Starfire 330 XL engine with MASC to achieve high
velocities, though that comes at a cost of only having five tons of Compound 7W
Ferro-Fibrous armor to work with in the case it does get hit. The greatest strength of the
Huay Chivo comes from its electronics suite; not only does it possesses boosted comms &
targeting/tracking with WolfTalk Series 7B Advanced and Mars System 7A units respectively,
it uses a Void-Signature System dug up from Spartan MechWorks' mothballed schematics from
the time they were under the Word of Blake and subsequently the Republic of the Sphere.
Combined with an Angel ECM Suite and a Bloodhound Active Probe, this allows it to remain
almost completely unseen while stalking the battlefield for intel or prey. Finally, by
default the Chupacabra has 13 double heat sinks, the extra 3 on top of the 10 required by
the reactor meant to offset the cooling needs of the VSS. All this leaves is 15 tons of
OmniPod space, allowing the 'Mech to somewhat branch out in terms of what it can support but
still having limitations.
The Prime configuration takes as much advantage of those 15 tons as it can, using an ER PPC
as its main weapon while two Medium Pulse Lasers and two ER Small Lasers provide close-in
firepower. Four more double heat sinks are added to provide sufficient cooling. This permits
it to be a skirmisher in addition to a scout, assisting in the times it is called for
headhunting the dishonorable.

of the advanced electronics as well as the MASC, in exchange for more OmniPod space and an
additional ton of armor.
