Hello!
I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in "Site Technical Questions" but considering that there is literally an option for disabling HTML, I have to assume it's more of a big.
I've been trying to use HTML in order to better format my post(s) and for some reason, there always seem to be issues in the post recognizing the code.
The current issue I'm having is with table.
If I type the following (taken from google as a quick example):

Then the first thing that happens is that a load of empty lines appear at the top of the post. Then the page just writes the "th" lines as raw text in that blank space and then it will load up the "td" text at the bottom.
If I try to add any kind of style, it just ignores it, types it as raw text and then just types everything as default.
Am I missing something? Is the site's own HTML code clashing with the table or am I just a fool?
Any assistance is appreciated!

To be honest, I don't think all HTML is supported. The code these forums are based on is probable some 25+ years old.
What I can do is create a bug for this using your example and see what is going on. But it's likely going to be one of those things where HTML will need to be added to what's supported as it's needed.

Yeah, the older PHP forums, which this one was originally based on, supported only the most basic of HTML. This was when these forums were using BBCode instead, and I'm guessing this one is so old it doesn't support all of those now either.

I've also updated the code in so many places so many different ways, the code on the backend hardly resembles what it once was.
