Three ideas I've made requests for, but discussion and feedback are worthwhile.
Vehicle trailers. Because they exist.
Inputting a unit via a .blk file.
Displaying a unit via .blk file.
Inputting would take a megamek file and turn it into whatever format mordel uses. It would be a unit as they exist now.
Displaying would take a blk file, and just display it in TRO fornat without thinking about it. Would be a quick way to expand the ability of Mordel to show off and share units not currently available. And as Mordel's online designer functions expand over time those files would be available to convert into whatever format mordel uses.
I do it differently the MML. There's nothing special about trailers outside the fact you can have them without engines and control systems. But instead of ticking a box or something to say "Hey, I'm a trailer!", you just have to add a Trailer Hitch to the design. Once that is present you can set the Engine to None and disable Control Systems. Everything else stays the same.

I actually had an enhancement for the first one and ultimately closed it. In all honesty, there's very little likelihood I'll support this, but mostly because MML files are just text files with little to no actual definition. Certain weapons and equipment have a dozen or so different names they can be called. None of this is openly documented, so I'd either need to dig through source code or ask 1,000 questions. It's a nice to have, but there is so much more I want to do before I'd even consider this. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
