| When I attempt to create and save a custom version of the Von Luckner combat vehicle it tells me that an invalid designer has been specified. What is causing this?

This may be the result of a bug I've tried to track down for a VERY long time, but never could, so introduced an error to prevent it. It's complicated to explain, but essentially sometimes custom designs were getting saved as Canon designs when they shouldn't have been. Essentially, you're loading a canon design and trying to save as YOU, but the design tool thinks your saving it as the original designer, for example ME. So it throws an error because you are not, in fact, me.
If you reset the designer (Reset button at bottom) and re-load the design, do you continue to get that error when saving? Have you ever been able to load a canon design, make edits, and save?

| I tried resetting the design, reloading, then saving, but that just caused the error box to give the invalid designer message twice. I have been able to load, edit, and save canon designs before. The difference might be that this time it is a combat vehicle rather than a mech.

Which variant of the Von Luckner are you loading to try and create a custom design from?
