Hello everyone. I am new to this site and relatively new to BattleTech, but have always had a passion for this type of game despite a lack of opportunities to play until recently.
Anyway, as I get more into Battle Tech I find myself searching for online tools to help not only with building out forces and acquiring data sheets, etc (which this site does very well!) but also help in playing the game.
I find the actual gameplay to sadly take too long for me and the one person I have played with to complete a battle in our limited time. Of course we are new and will get faster, but honestly I would love to be able to type in the basic input for an attach (range, weapon, etc) and have the dice rolls simulated to just tell use where to place damage. It could go as far as tracking damage, etc, too but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I think I did see an app like that somewhere for IPads but not for any device I own. I would like to see one that is just a website so it can be platform agnostic.
Is there something like that out there? If not, is there enough interest from others to warrant building it myself (I am a software developer and could do so fairly easily if I could make the time).
If I were to venture down this path, the ideal way to do it would be to leverage the data already in a site like this, but I have no idea if the developers of this site would consider facilitating that. I just think it would be cool to be able to have all your forces defined here and immediately have them available in the combat simulation tool.
Thank you for your answers and feedback in advance!

only thing close to this that I know that has seen the light of day is the BattleTech Tactical Companion App [bg.battletech.com/battletech-tactical-companion-app/]. however, that has limited functionality atm.
So yes, there is interest. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

If you like digital sheets (I'm old so obviously do not, lol), you can look into Flechs Sheets. You can play on a tablet, mar damage. It also automates some of the stuff for you. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator
