Overview:
IIC upgrade to classic designs can be odd. They're almost always a different tonnage then
their parent design. Some go larger, such as tge Pheonix Hawk IIC. Some are lighter, such
as the Shadow Hawk IIC. It's no surprise that upgraded tanks followed the same trend.
Capabilities:
The Clan version of the SRM carrier takes advantage of their advanced material science to
become smaller and cheaper then a classic SRM carrier while significantly improving its
capabilities. 10 SRM-6 launchers are backed by 4 tons of ammo. These are then placed in a
turret. A NARC missile beacon is added to the front as well. Armor coverage is made
significantly stronger improving the chances of additional Salvos being fired.
The largest change that allowed for so much added capacity was the use of fuel cell engines.
While much more temperamental to the type of fuel required to run them, they offer
significant advantages in both power density, and more importantly reduced signature when
laying in ambush.
Deployment:
The history has been lost, but Dropship crews still speak about the landing site massacre
on Circe. SRM carriers were hidden in the obvious ideal landing fields for dropships. This
was a bold and suicidal plan as many of the tanks were destroyed and damaged by the drive
plumes as the ships touched down. But paid off as the landing dropships found themselves in
a worst case scenerio, surrounded by SRM carriers that are in range.

I mean Clan Missiles in general are disgusting. As is, it's still basically just an SRM carrier with similar capabilities to the 3058ish upgrades on the Inner Sphere side.
