Nice, but note I said stopped making mechs...that would cover your answer as well. Though according to the Mechwarrior RPG the Argimechs were vehicles not really true mechs, but hey why point out a slight fact like that...

Agromechs are still mechs and no vehicles, or do you use the Vehicle Critical Hits table for them ?

Agromechs are still mechs and no vehicles, or do you use the Vehicle Critical Hits table for them ?

Get a copy of the original Mechwarrior RPG and in it you will find the Argimechs and when you look at the tonnage and stats you will see that it's a vehicle not a mech.
I know they redid things in Explore Core but the machines were out via MECHWARRIOR RPG long before Explore Core came out...
And besides since the factories are not making mechs anymore what else could they make?

Just where did you get that idea? IIRC, the new Cosmtar INN site said that many former 'Mech factories, once they stopped making BattleMechs, went to producing AgroMechs, MiningMechs, ForestryMechs, etc...

Did you stop to think that this could be a "what if" statement? Bet you didn't...
If all the factories stopped 'making 'mechs...they should make hot dogs and chili. If the entire galaxy was supplied with Chili dogs, then no one would have to fight anymore. Oh yeah, and cheese, chili dogs need shese..and root beer.

No, while food is a good idea it is not the best idea. If we go with my lipstick and other such female products everything will be all the better.
If the females lock better they feel better about themselves. Then they will see no reason to go to war, less PMS. And if the females look better and feel better about themselves why the heck would you as a guy go to war?

There's an old proverb (from Eastern Europe if I remember correctly) that states: "Wars are caused by two things: women and priests."
If all the women are suddenly prettier, guys will fight wars over the women, because there will still be some degree of difference in beauty. And some women just can't be made beautiful no matter how much spackel is put on them. So the guys will compete for the pretty girls, the girls will encourage it of course since it means they get plenty of attention and goodies without actually having to give anything in return... which will make guys fight over resources so they can show the pretty gals that they are richer.... on and on in a viscious cycle.
Basically like how things are now.
I'm all for the chili dog and root beer idea myself.

Oh its true that men are just into gimmicks and toys as women, but women desire signs of wealth in a mate. Its because almost every female of any species is hardwired to look for success. Whether it is hunting success (by being stronger and better fed then any other male) or economic success (by showering her with gifts) doesn't matter.
Our society puts emphesis on material/economic success, and therefore women will want to mate with those that prove their success by showering them with gifts/money.
