I disagree. I think one shot weapons are a fun idea. Rocket launchers prove that point. Issue is simply in exicution.
Say if when designed, OS or I-OS was simply 2/3rds the wieght of the standard weapon, and you could have alternate ammos pre loaded/ and hot loadable. I figure they should way less iff removing the auto loader.

Can see the point of RL's on light scout mechs, the Stinger -5R and to some extend the Wasp -3P are great examples, have a primary energy weapon and then as many RL's as can be fitted on for those moments when you find something you need to put down quick whilst you bug out.
(can say the same for the Wasp -3L, who thinks its a good idea to stick stealth armour on a mech with 10 single heat sinks)
