If anyone here plays the CCG then do you also agree that just getting rid of the stockpile is too easy? I mean comeon hit his for like 4 points and then guard yours the whole game and who runs out first... he does! That is not skill, skill would be getyting rid of every card excluding cards in opponents hand and command post cards. Not attacking once and letting the phenomenon known as cycles win it for you. Do you agree?

That falls along the line of thinging that Pulse Lasers and Targeted Computers represent no skill. Just hinging the bets on the dice rolls.

Well, not really. I'd like to see you play against any halfway decent player that cannot hit your stockpile! With the combination of missions, initiative and card order, it's almost impossible to stop someone. So your theory loses there!

And I can hear MEX coming in on this one too, since he loves the card game!

Hi Mordel, nice that you invited me

Hi all,
reducing your opponents stockpile is the only way to win this game. If you do this by damaging it, or by simply waiting until he has to draw his last card is up to you.

I remember a BT TCG deck with only 16 cards ( to get the necessary unique cards more often at the start of the game ) which tried to archive a lock on the opponent so that he cant deply new cards. This deck allows you to restore cards to your stockpile each round ( Omi Kurita, Chandrasekhar Kuritar and Support: Logistics allow you to restock up to 3 cards each turn ) so that you only have to wait until your opponent has to draw his last card.

It had been published by WotC in a old Duellist magazine.

Hope this helps, MEX

P.S.: Dont forget to include Logistics into your decks so that you can restock at least one card each round
